New Year Intentions Classes for 2023 begin Sunday, 1/1/23!

For many of us, December 31st marks the end of the year and the beginning of a new one. But calendars are simply a marker of time, man made in it’s delineations . We can also mark time by the progression of the Sun, the Moon, the Seasons, however it best aligns for us. For many, Winter is a time of rest, reflection, solitude, a long pause inward. We can turn the page tomorrow and begin anew, or we can take the time to review, reassess and begin in late January, at the Lunar New Year, or in March at the Spring Equinox, etc., etc. Wherever and however you mark time and the ending of the year, take this pause, to release what no longer serves you and make room for what does.

We’ll gather to review what we no longer need of 2022 and clear space for what we want to call in for 2023. Pausing to reflect on the year we’ve left, before inviting in what we desire for the one ahead. We’ll journal, breathe, meditate and move our bodies, releasing where we might be holding, creating space where we imagined none existed. No experience required, just an open mind and heart, and curiosity for one’s journey.

Mindful Art & Yoga Summer Camp!

We’re doing Summer Camp! If you’re still looking for something fun for your child to do this summer, please join us!

Building on the foundations of our popular Mindful Art & Yoga classes, this year, our camp will include adventures to local museums, cultural centers & parks. We’ll draw inspiration and insight from these excursions, incorporating them into our art of color, textures and form. We’re so happy to have art teacher, Julia joining us in camp this year as well!

Camp will be held on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9am to 3pm, possible extended days to 4pm, beginning July 5th and running to August 18th. Sign up for a single week or as many as weeks you want!

Ages: 5-9 years

We’ll be based in Brooklyn, using Cobble Hill as our pick up and drop off location.

New ‘Release & Restore’ class begins Wednesdays, September 22 at 7:15pm Yogi & Yoginis, in person & online. Must be vaxed to take class in person. Register at yogi&yoginis

“This new Release & Restore class combines gentle movement and stretching with restorative poses to find the balance between opening and release. Drawing on asana, mobility stretches, myofascial release and breath, we’ll find expansion and spaciousness. We’ll move into a combination of restorative poses (passive restoration) and yin (active restoration) to find release and softness, dropping into our para-sympathetic nervous system for grounding and healing. This class helps alleviate stress, restores tired minds and bodies, and brings the body back to a sense of ease. No yoga experience required, open to all levels.”

Summer camp 2021 + classes

Our Summer camp and classes start next week and we’re keeping things fun and loose. If you’re still looking for something for your little person to do, we have an in person and online Mindful Art & Yoga camp for ages 6-10 years, Tuesday & Thursday mornings, 9:30am – 12:30pm, capped at 6 kids in person. You can attend both days or drop in, either way there will be art, yoga and fun times!

We’re also offering a Teen/Tween class for the month of July, 4-5pm also in person and online for kids 11-14 years, capped at 7 kids in person, along with our other ongoing kids class.

And I’m always plugging my online Adult Restorative yoga class on Wednesdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm because all parents need this class! Details via schedule page, please message with any questions!
