Family down dog

This is what life looks like now, teaching lots of yoga online to kids and families. Far away, but so close- they’re in your home.

I’ve found myself turning inward these past few weeks, focusing on making space- physically, emotionally, mentally… as the forced “stay at home” gave me space to do so. I’ve also been teaching the whole time…and yet teaching online is hard and vulnerable and my introvert self feels anxiety every time I start class. But here’s the thing- I love what I do. I believe in the practice of yoga and it’s benefits for young, old, happy, scared, all shapes and sizes. And sharing the practice with families during these uncertain times is important. So I keep doing it, because it matters and even if it helps one little person or gives that mom or dad a break, then it’s worth getting out of the way to do the work.

As J’s mom said, “honestly this is the only 90 minutes of my week where [he] is really engaged with another activity that I dont need to be on top of so we both love it!” ?

I have SIX classes on the schedule, one is bi- weekly, but still. And I think I’m going to add another one for adults only- a restorative for parents after their kids go to sleep (finally). I’m also doing private sessions for individuals and groups. I’m here to help, however I can.
